Supplyline Preferred & Audited Supplier Service

National Britannia's Supplyline is a 'preferred and audited suppliers service' which assesses the competency of contractors. The scheme focuses on health & safety, but also takes into account other critical issues such as quality, insurance, training, etc. in order to demonstrate the high standards of the organisation. The Assessment the applications are assessed against the Supplyline Charter Standards. Where necessary, we make recommendations to help contractors improve, providing support, practical advice and guidance to achieve the necessary standard. Random site visits to selected suppliers are carried out, to ensure that the documented procedures are being implemented in practice. The advice, guidance and support provided by the assessor, through the assessment procedure, helps the client to attain the Charter Standards, and is an invaluable benefit to contractors. This is effectively free consultancy, and where appropriate, includes the provision of guidance notes.

The Charter Standards set the criteria for contractors, giving primary attention to health and safety. However, information is also included on:

• control of sub-contractors
• insurance and tax details
• proof of competence
• contract value limits
• region of operation
• quality systems / assurance
• customer service
• employee training
• environmental policy financial details
• membership of trade associations / bodies

The Charter Standards can be tailored to specific requirements, to match the needs of the business.

Accreditation Supplyline Certificates are accompanied by a Schedule defining the services to which the accreditation applies and defining the level of accreditation, depending upon the risk associated with the activity. The Certificate and Schedule can be used to demonstrate, to potential and existing clients, that the health & safety and other standards adopted within the contractor's organisation have been assessed and considered satisfactory by National Britannia.

This has the added advantage of avoiding the need to undergo numerous competency reviews by potential clients. Simply send a copy of the Certificate and Schedule. Accreditation to Supplyline also entitles the supplier to use the Supplyline logo.

The Supplyline database of all accredited contractors is accessible by all National Britannia clients, who know that the organisations they choose from the database are of the highest standard and need no further assessment.
