Background
Established in 1997, International Britannia has achieved dramatic growth. Initially set up to respond to the environmental hygiene needs and concerns of UK food retailers importing goods from worldwide suppliers, the business has since taken its promise of ‘Total Responsiveness’ to it's client's needs extremely seriously.

Management solutions to any environmental risk concern are their primary skill. Whether it be food safety, Health & Safety, training, pest prevention, fly control, marine pest control, water quality, air quality, environmental audits or bird control, International Britannia can provide expert advice and services.

Explaining, understanding and keeping pace with ever changing sometimes confusing, UK and EU industry related legislation, forms part of their Total Responsiveness promise that clients have become accustomed to.

Over the past year National Britannia has greatly expanded its presence across the world, delivering risk management solutions to businesses in Europe, North and South America and the Middle East.

International Britannia is the Group subsidiary set up to spearhead this strategy of securing global cover by the early years of the next century.

This has been achieved by the careful choice of joint venture partners in key countries with strong potential demand for hygiene, safety and other risk management services.

At the end of 1998 businesses had been established in Turkey, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Gibraltar, Ireland, Canada and Jersey. Preparations are well advanced to extend this network into Italy…….

International Britannia combines the Group’s market leading expertise in the UK with the complementary skills and local knowledge of the native company in each country. Local staff receive training from National Britannia’s experts, either at their local office or in the UK.

It is acknowledged that environmental hygiene and safety standards in Britain are probably the highest in the world and it is this knowledge and professionalism which is now being exported through the overseas businesses.

Companies under the umbrella of International Britannia have made a rapid impact in their respective markets. For example National Britannia Turkey achieved nation-wide coverage in that country within a year of its establishment.
